RESPONSIBILITY

We embrace our concept of -LESS, an approach ensuring our commitment to sustainability and minimal environmental impact. We make timeless pieces for an ageless customer, ensuring an effortless look for years to come. With -LESS, we cut out the unnecessary, building a practice that strives to be harmless and wasteless.

TIME-LESS

We create timeless pieces designed to last, blending enduring style with contemporary relevance. Our designs are crafted from high-quality materials ensuring garments that can be treasured and cared for over many years. By blending timeless aesthetics with a contemporary spirit, our pieces remain relevant today and for the future. We believe in the principles of slow fashion, striving to shift the industry’s focus from fast consumption to thoughtful, intentional choices. Our ambition is to inspire a change in mindset, encouraging customers to invest in quality over quantity. Rather than starting from scratch each season, we refine and develop our products, focusing on quality, fit, and longevity.

SIZE-LESS

We focus on creating adaptable designs that reduce unnecessary overproduction. Many of our styles are made with oversized or flexible fits, allowing us to produce fewer sizes while still ensuring great wearability. This helps us avoid overproduction and supports a more sustainable approach.
While we initially worked only with one-size designs, we have expanded to include more sizes to suit a wider variety of shapes and styles. However, we always make careful decisions about sizing, producing only what is needed to minimize waste and avoid surplus production. This way, we stay true to our commitment to thoughtful and responsible production.

SEASON-LESS

At Christian Aks, we embrace a seasonless philosophy, creating collections designed to be worn year-round, especially in a Nordic climate where versatility is essential. By designing garments that can be worn in various weather conditions and styled across multiple seasons, we encourage thoughtful consumption and reduce the need for constant wardrobe updates. This not only benefits the environment by lowering production demands but also allows our customers to invest in fewer, higher-quality pieces that stand the test of time.

HARM-LESS

We are dedicated to do as little harm as possible to the planet and people. By focusing on thoughtful material choices, ethical production practices, and trustworthy suppliers, we ensure that every step of our process reflects our values.
QUALITIES: We prioritize using high-quality, natural materials to ensure our products are both eco-friendly and long-lasting. Wool is our primary focus, chosen for its durability and minimal environmental impact. Where possible, we use undyed yarns, showcasing the material’s natural color blends while reducing chemical use. We are dedicated to continually optimizing the quality of our materials, ensuring they are not only durable and long-lasting but also increasingly sustainable. A significant portion of our wool is already certified , but we are committed to expanding certifications across all the fibers we use. This ongoing process reflects our ambition to guarantee both the integrity and traceability of our materials. In addition, we carefully source leather as a byproduct of food production, ensuring no unnecessary waste, and we exclude exotic skins and fur entirely from our collections.
SUPPLIERS: Our partnerships are built on trust, longevity, and shared values. We work closely with a small group of suppliers, collaborating with them season after season. This approach allows us to build strong relationships, ensuring mutual growth and alignment in our commitment to sustainability. Every supplier is required to sign our Code of Conduct, which outlines clear ethical and environmental responsibilities.

WASTE-LESS

Our Waste-less approach is a cornerstone of our commitment to sustainability. We carefully manage production to minimize waste, ensuring that every piece we create has a purpose and a plan. To avoid overproduction, we produce only what we intend to sell each season, keeping inventory levels low and reducing the risk of unsold garments. Similarly, we limit the number of samples we make, and every sample is sold at dedicated sample sales, ensuring nothing goes to waste. In addition to thoughtful production, we are mindful of our material use. Whenever possible, we work with leftover or stock yarn and fabrics from suppliers, prioritizing what is already available rather than requesting new materials to be produced.

EMISSION-LESS

Our Emission-less strategy is centered on reducing our carbon footprint at every step of our production and distribution processes. From transportation to packaging, we are committed to making choices that minimize emissions and environmental impact. We prioritize carbon-neutral shipping wherever possible and continuously seek out more eco-friendly transportation solutions.
Our packaging is designed with sustainability in mind. We reuse all boxes used to transport garments and request recycled cardboard and plastic from our suppliers whenever possible. We also limit the use of packaging materials to what is strictly necessary, avoiding unnecessary waste. Our labels are made from recycled materials, with woven labels crafted from recycled polyester and hang-tags produced using recycled paper.
